1. The Short Version

We collect only what we need to run Perspion. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. Here's the full picture.

2. What We Collect

Account data

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. That's it.

Usage data

We track which analyses you create, what features you use, and when. This helps us enforce plan limits and improve the product.

Payment data

All payments are handled by Polar. We never see or store your credit card information.

YouTube data

We fetch publicly available YouTube comments through the YouTube Data API. Comments are stored temporarily for analysis. You can delete your analyses at any time.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the service: analyzing comments, generating insights, tracking your usage.
  • To improve Perspion: we look at anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to understand how the product is used.
  • We never sell your data to third parties.
  • We never use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

  • Google: for authentication (OAuth).
  • YouTube Data API: to fetch public comments. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Gemini / Google AI: comments are sent to Google's AI API for analysis and categorization.
  • Supabase: our database provider. Your data is stored on servers in the United States.
  • Polar: handles payment processing.
  • Vercel: hosts the application.
  • PostHog: product analytics. We track anonymized usage patterns (page views, feature usage, button clicks) only for authenticated users within the dashboard. No comment text, video titles, or other content is sent to PostHog.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Account data: until you delete your account.
  • Analysis results: until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Raw comments: stored for the duration of the analysis. You can delete them at any time.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: You can see all your data right in the Perspion dashboard.
  • Deletion: You can delete any analysis, or your entire account, at any time.
  • Export: Pro and Agency subscribers can export analyses as PDF.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your settings.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session) and product analytics cookies (PostHog) for authenticated users only. PostHog cookies help us understand how the dashboard is used so we can improve the product. No analytics tracking occurs on public pages or before you sign in.

8. Children

Perspion is not intended for children under 13, in compliance with COPPA. If you're under 13, please don't use the service.

9. International Users

Perspion is operated from the United States. Your data is processed and stored in the US. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States.

10. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with the updated effective date. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email.
